NFL Mock Draft 2018: Complete first round after Week 3
The Detroit Lions are another team that could use an upgrade on the defensive line. Their defensive pass rush hasn’t been the same since the departure of Ndamukong Suh.
Boston College Eagles defensive end Harold Landry isn’t having the greatest senior season in 2017 but growing pains are where better players are made.
Landry is coming off a season where he led the FBS in sacks (16), forced fumbles (7) and fourth in the FBS in tackles for loss (22). He racked up 50 total tackles in 2016.
The senior defensive end has gotten off to a slow start this year, as the Golden Eagles have just a 1-2 record. He has 12 tackles, 2.0 tackles for loss and a sack so far.
Still, he’d be a nice combination off the edge with Ezekiel Ansah. Ansah currently has seven tackles, 3.0 sacks and a forced fumble on the season.
The Lions are 2-0 right now, but they’ve got some tough games ahead of them. The holes on their defensive front could become an issue that Landry solves in the future.
