USF football: 3 bold predictions for AAC opener vs. Temple
By Zach Bigalke
3. Quinton Flowers will break 300 passing yards for first time this year
Despite his reputation as a dual-threat quarterback, Quinton Flowers has never quite lived up to the passing reputation. Flowers has gone over 300 passing yards just once in his career, when he threw for 350 yards and four touchdowns against Northern Illinois last year. His reputation has been made mostly with his legs, as he became the first Florida-based FBS quarterback to break the 1000-yard rushing barrier in a season.
Against the Temple secondary, though, Flowers is due for a big day. Last year the Owls held him to 187 yards and two touchdowns. The year before that, Flowers threw for 230 yards and two scores against Temple as a sophomore. Though the Owls have historically been able to clamp down on Flowers through the air, though, he will have a huge night against Temple.

Be sure to tune in to the Thursday night showdown to see one of the most complete quarterbacking performances of the year. Flowers will break the 300-yard mark for the second time in his career, and he will also top the 100-yard rushing mark. In his final shot to take down Temple, Flowers will put up five total touchdowns as the Bulls blow out their division rivals and start off Week 4 action with a bang.
