One of the biggest surprises out of the ACC is coming out of Winston-Salem, NC. The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are 3-0, with dominating victories against two potential bowl caliber teams in the Boston College Eagles and Utah State Aggies.

Wake Forest quarterback John Wolford has quietly become one of the most productive in the ACC. Wolford totaled just under 700 yards with nine touchdowns. Freshman wide receiver Greg Dortch is having a breakout season as well with nearly 200 yards and four touchdowns.

The opponent for the Demon Deacons this weekend is sure to give them a challenge. They hit the road but stay in western North Carolina for their battle with the Appalachian State Mountaineers. Wake is a 3.5-point favorite on the road.
