Week 4 of college football has arrived. To add some intrigue, here is one bold prediction for every top 25 team. Are we crazy? Or is there some truth in the chaos?

If this posts nails every prediction there’s something wrong with it. After all, how bold can you be if you’re correctly predicting the supposedly wild twists and turns of the college football season. For that reason, we’ve got to start each week with some of the calls that went laughably wrong. It’s not time to hide. Here were the most egregious misses.
In a week in which the top 10 survived unscathed the predictions did not. The predictions called for a 500 yards rushing day for the Auburn Tigers against Mercer. Instead they barely scratched out 146 yards on the ground and won a close game at home. Derrius Guice finished with 79 total yards, not at the forefront of the Heisman conversation.
The Trojans won a close one in overtime, not in a 50 point blow out. And finally, I regret two straight weeks of placing my faith in Michigan quarterback Wilton Speight.
However, we did have some rather notable hits. First off, Kenny Hill did not throw an interception. That’s no small feat considering his accuracy issues. Unsurprisingly, Butch Jones melted down in extraordinary fashion. Last but not least. Clemson manhandled Louisville and put themselves at the top of the national championship conversation.
Now it’s time to call Week 4. Here’s one bold prediction for every top 25 team in action this week.
Bold prediction: Danny Etling gets benched. LSU is currently starting a transfer from Purdue at quarterback with a career 57.1 completion percentage. Etling has just one touchdown pass on the season and the offense needs a spark. With freshman Myles Brennan waiting in the wings, Coach O is going to take his chance to give him valuable minutes against Syracuse. He’ll be so good that Etling doesn’t see the field next week either.
Bold prediction: Justin Herbert has a 5-touchdown day. There are a lot of high-profile Pac-12 passers, and while Herbert hasn’t set the field on fire with his numbers, his play has been superb. Herbert enters Week 4 with five touchdown passes on the season. He’s going to double it against a woeful Arizona State defense.
