Bold prediction: The Oklahoma defense pitches a shutout. Oklahoma has their eyes set on a trip to the College Football Playoff. Baylor is just trying to win their first football game. It’s likely that the Bears will only be favored in one game this year, a road trip to Kansas. Even then, it’s going to be a hard time believing they’ll be capable of even winning that. Whomever steps in at quarterback, be it Zach Smith or Anu Solomon, is going to wish they stayed home.

Bold prediction: Kelly Bryant isn’t needed after halftime. Harold Landry and the Boston College defense are not pushovers, but they are nowhere near the level of competition that Clemson is playing at right now. The Tigers have disposed with two of the better teams in the SEC and the ACC in back to back weeks. Bryant and his mass of offensive firepower blow out the Eagles to such a degree that he can hit the showers early.

Bold prediction: Alabama only wins by single digits. Anchor Down might only be down by a touchdown when the fourth quarter gets under way. The Crimson Tide are the better team, but it wouldn’t be the first time that they slowly had to grind away from their opponent. Jalen Hurts is going to make a mistake or two on the road and for a brief moment there will be people around the nation thinking that maybe, just maybe, Vandy could do the impossible. They won’t.

No. 16 TCU at No. 6 Oklahoma State and No. 17 Mississippi State at No. 11 Georgia are the marquee games of the weekend. The rest of the slate largely pits ranked teams against pesky opponents looking for an upset. There’s no telling who’s going to pull of a stunner on Saturday, but rest assured there will be a good amount of shenanigans before the day is through.
