1. Another Pac-12 thriller will go to overtime in Boulder

If you go only by how the showdown between these two teams went last year, you might think it would be okay to go to bed at a decent hour on Saturday night. But strange things happen during Pac-12 play, and this looks capable of going down to the wire in Colorado.

The Huskies will reach 40 points again versus the Buffaloes, but Washington will need overtime to get there. That is because Chris Petersen’s defense will allow far more than the 10 points they conceded in last year’s Pac-12 championship game. Look for Colorado to come close to the 40-point mark as well. A late Montez touchdown pass to one of his talented receivers will lock up the score at 35 apiece and force extra time.

Washington will win the toss and elect to play defense first. Finally clamping down on Montez and crew, the Huskies will stuff Phillip Lindsay on a short third-down try. James Stefanou will make his field-goal attempt to put Colorado up 38-35, but Washington will get a quick touchdown as Browning finds Pettis for the winning score.

Washington will leave Boulder as victors, keeping their hopes alive of returning to the College Football Playoff. After coming close to gaining revenge against the Huskies, Colorado will fall to 0-1 in Pac-12 play on a disappointing late night.
