1. Auburn still needs Kamryn Pettway

The rushing stats put up by the Auburn offense in Week 4 were not great. Since starting running back Kamryn Pettway sat out with a lagging injury problem, once again, usual backup running back Kerryon Johnson got the start.

Johnson compiled a very large amount of rushing touchdowns in this game with five. However, he only managed 48 rushing yards on 18 carries. Some of the reason for the low yards per carry is the amount of carries he had in the red zone.

The best running back on Auburn’s roster is still Pettway. Kam Martin did lead Auburn in rushing yards on the game, but he totaled just under 74. Pettway is the type of player that can field 15-25 carries per game and be efficient doing it. Auburn is going to need a healthy Pettway to carry the load as the grind of the SEC schedule continues. His health is of the utmost importance for this Tiger team.
