1. Jake Browning outpaces Steven Montez

It was a slow start to the season for Colorado’s junior quarterback Steven Montez before he finally took off last week against Northern Colorado. Montez threw for 357 yards and four touchdowns with only one interception in that one.

Meanwhile, Washington’s junior quarterback Jake Browning is already off to a hot start in his last two contests. Browning 798 yards and eight touchdowns with only one interception so far this year.

Montez tossed six touchdowns with three interceptions through three games. This game will be decided by the quarterback play. Especially with the skill among the defensive backs for both squads.

Even though UW defeated Colorado in the PAC-12 Championship Game in 2016, it was not one of Browning’s best outings. He threw for just over 100 yards and two scores while only completing nine pass attempts.
