Auburn’s only loss of the 2017 to date remains against No. 2 Clemson, and the Tigers offered another convincing victory for AP voters on Saturday afternoon. The No. 15. Tigers took down Missouri on the road in Columbia, routing their SEC East hosts in a 51-14 blowout. Gus Malzahn’s team continues to assert itself as a sleeper in the SEC this season.

Jarrett Stidham had an efficient day at quarterback for Auburn, completing 13 of his 17 passes for 218 yards and a touchdown. The Auburn rushing attack was formidable, piling up five touchdowns on the ground against Missouri. For the first time this season, Malzahn’s crew topped 50 points and is beginning to round into form entering the heart of conference play.

Look for Auburn to jump a few spots in this week’s AP Top 25 after getting their third win of the season. Next week’s game against Mississippi State on the Plains lost a little luster after the Bulldogs lost to Georgia, but it should still be a showdown between ranked SEC West squads.
