Winner: Georgia Bulldogs

No. 11 in the AP Poll up to No. 7

The No. 7 Georgia Bulldogs seem to have found an answer at quarterback in Jake Fromm. Although they lost quarterback Jacob Eason to a knee injury, Fromm has been the answer at backup.

Fromm went 9-of-12 with 201 passing yards and two passing touchdowns as Georgia jumped out to a 14-0 lead and never looked back in this one. Running back Nick Chubb fueled the run game with 15 carries for 81 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns out of the backfield.

The Georgia Bulldogs seem to have figured things out in year two under head coach Kirby Smart. They’re 4-0 after their 31-3 convincing victory over the Mississippi State Bulldogs to open SEC play.

The defense held Mississippi State to 177 rushing yards and 103 passing yards. More importantly, they kept quarterback Nick Fitzgerald in check all game.

Things are looking a lot different as they look to dethrone Alabama for the SEC title. Next up for them: a road trip to face the Tennessee Volunteers. The Volunteers beat UMass 17-13 in Week 4.
