Loser: Florida State Seminoles

from No. 12 in the AP Poll to unranked

The rust was evident in the Florida State Seminoles loss to the NC State Wolfpack in Week 4. They fell out of the AP Poll rankings after losing at home, but they should be back. The Seminoles looked like a team that hadn’t played in a few weeks as they slept walk through their 27-21 loss to the NC State Wolfpack.

Quarterback James Blackman threw for 278 passing yards and a touchdown but the offense didn’t get much out of the running game. As a team, they ran for 104 rushing yards but nobody scored a rushing touchdown in the game. Blackman didn’t throw any interceptions in the game, but he did have a fumble. He was sacked four times, two of them coming from Wolfpack defensive Bradley Chubb.

Wide receiver Auden Tate had nine receptions for 138 receiving yards and a touchdown, but it wasn’t enough for the offense as it couldn’t outscore the Wolfpack.

The Florida State defense only had one sack and allowed 21 first downs in the contest. The Seminoles offense will need to figure things out in a hurry if they want to get their first victory of the season. They travel to Winston-Salem next to face the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
