UCLA Bruins Football: 5 players who earned game balls vs. Stanford
By Zach Bigalke
Darren Andrews has been the primary touchdown target for the Bruins this season. On Saturday, though, Jordan Lasley broke out as the bigger star in the UCLA receiving corps. The redshirt junior has 100-yard games in two out of his three appearances in 2017, doubling the number of triple-digit games in his career before the end of September.
Against the Cardinal secondary, Lasley piled up 11 catches for a career-high 158 yards and a score. In addition to his touchdown catch, Lasley kept moving the chains with four catches beyond the sticks for first downs. Stanford struggled to contain the 6-foot-1, 205-pound receiver as he ran rampant on the road.
Though the Bruins fell to the Cardinal, Lasley did everything within his power to keep them in the game. As part of a multithreat group of receivers, Lasley stood out as the strongest of the bunch in Week 4. Slap another sticker on his helmet, because he was the most dominant pass catcher on the field in the Bay Area this weekend.
