1. Kenny Hill is new and improved

This would not be the first time that TCU has worked some magic with a quarterback that experienced major turnover problems in the past. We saw co-offensive coordinators Doug Meacham and Sonny Cumbie turn former TCU quarterback Trevone Boykin into a Heisman contender.

Since the departure of Meacham to join the Kansas Jayhawks, Cumbie is now the sole offensive coordinator. Cumbie could still be having the same effect he had on Boykin, with Kenny Hill. Some games saw Hill throw four touchdowns but it would be watered down with four interceptions also.

Hill did what he needed to do in this one to get past a solid Oklahoma State squad. Even though he only tossed one touchdown and one interception, he converted a lot of key third downs at important times in the game.

Last year, Hill threw 17 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He is on pace for the same type of interception numbers, if not less. But, he could manage 25 touchdown passes when it’s all said and done.
