Quarterback. UCLA. Josh Rosen. 3. player. 30.

If the New York Jets are not able to get their hands on Sam Darnold, they will look for the next best option. That next best option would be UCLA’s junior quarterback Josh Rosen. Yet, Rosen’s season has started to go downhill the last two weeks.

Losses to the Memphis Tigers and Stanford Cardinal have put UCLA in a rough position. Rosen is easily on pace to set a career record in touchdown passes and passing yards. Much of that relies on Rosen staying healthy for the rest of the season.

The depth that the Jets have at quarterback right now is almost laughable. Veteran Josh McCown is the starter with Baylor product Bryce Petty and Penn State product Christian Hackenberg backing him up.

Hackenberg was drafted to be a project for the Jets. And it ended up not panning out, at least yet. Petty was more a product of the system with Baylor’s high-powered offense they ran under former head coach Art Briles.
