2. Shane Buechele takes more snaps than Sam Ehlinger

According to 247Sports, Tom Herman has announced that the Texas football coaching staff has a plan for how they will use sophomore quarterback Shane Buechele alongside true freshman Sam Ehlinger this week.

Yet, nothing has emerged about that actual plan that will be used stating if Buechele will even actually play at all. We all should expect that Ehlinger starts for Texas during the first drive but both quarterbacks will get snaps, especially if the Horns take the lead early.

Entering the season, Buechele was the set starter behind center for Texas. There’s no way that Herman is going to give up on him this early, no matter how clutch Ehlinger was against USC. An injury has seemed to be bugging Buechele, though.

This is not a bad problem for Texas necessarily. They have two quarterbacks that would easily start for most of the teams around the country. Yet, Herman does need to make a decision as to who he will go with moving forward.
