2. Deon Cain goes over 150 receiving yards

The Clemson offense operates behind a solid ground game that can defeat opponents through junior quarterback Kelly Bryant or their extremely deep stable of running backs. The combination of Tavien Feaster and C.J. Fuller was supposed to carry the load.

Yet, the one player on this offense that might have the most NFL level talent is wide receiver Deon Cain. After the departures of tight end Jordan Leggett and wide receiver Mike Williams, the Clemson offense was left searching for answers.

Other receivers like Hunter Renfrow and Ray-Ray McCloud have picked up the pace as well. Even though Cain was expected to do big things this season, he’s only caught 11 passes for 151 yards and one touchdown in four games.

This is a great opportunity for Cain to have a breakout week on the national stage. It’s only a matter of time before Cain is able to completely scorch an opposing secondary. Nothing would be more impressive, up to this point, than having a big day against Virginia Tech for Cain.
