Ohio State Football: 3 bold predictions vs. Rutgers in Week 5
By Jesse Smith
1. Backups on both sides of the ball will play plenty
I’m expecting the Buckeyes to dominate the Scarlet Knights on Saturday an in turn a lot of backups will get to play. This is a good thing for the Buckeyes it will allow players who don’t get to play in many snaps in tight games to get real reps. You will get to see the four and five-star kids you have been hearing about for years.
Last week quarterbacks Dwayne Haskins and Joe Burrow got some quality action against UNLV. Haskins passed for a team high 228 yards on 15-of-23 passing, two touchdowns and one interception. His interception was a pick six, but for the bench Barrett crowd this was a positive step for that faction. Haskins rushed for 20 yards on six carries.
Burrow also tossed the rock for 37 yards on 4-for-4 passing.
Running back Antonio Williams rushed for 53 yards last week, it will be interesting to see if he is the main back up to J.K. Dobbins or if Mike Weber is back in the fold. Weber didn’t play last week.
Will linebacker Chris Worley be back on Saturday or will freshman Tuf Borland get more snaps and Baron Browning? We won’t know until closer to game time because it is like pulling teeth to get an injury report for a college program.

I also expect to see more players in the secondary on Saturday if it goes the way it is expected. Yes, everybody plays during this win.
