4. The run game can be relied upon each week

Few teams can say that they have five players with more than 100 rushing yards up to this point. Texas A&M is one of those teams that can. The big three running backs for the Aggies including Keith Ford, Trayveon Williams, and Kendall Bussey have been great.

Williams leads the Aggies in rushing yards with 328 yards on 50 carries and four touchdowns. Quite a few of those yards came in Week 1 against UCLA when he ran for 203 yards and two touchdowns. Yet, he compiled 72 yards and one touchdown last week in a solid effort.

Ford leads the team in rushing touchdowns with five. He’s also second on the team rushing yards with 232. Ford’s stats are trending much like Williams’ have through four games. Arkansas and UCLA saw Ford’s best performances.

One of the nicer surprises for the running back depth has been the emergence of freshmen like Bussey and Jacob Kidobi. Both backs are five-star type talents and will each see a larger role next year.
