3. Austin Allen will bounce back after TAMU loss

Few things can help a team respond better than senior leadership in the locker room. Senior quarterback Austin Allen has been inconsistent through three games, but he still has plenty of opportunities to get back on track.

Allen was very productive last year. Yet, he turned the ball over quite a bit with 15 interceptions. The 25 touchdowns he tossed were drowned out by the interception numbers. So far, Allen is on pace to throw half as many interceptions as touchdowns.

There’s not many teams that Allen can put up bigger numbers against this year than New Mexico State. The Texas A&M secondary does have some talent on it that cannot be matched by New Mexico State.

It’s not that Allen played poorly last week. He still threw for 229 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. However, that interception came at the worst time and cost the Hogs the game in overtime.
