2. New Mexico State has already lost to a Power Five opponent

If New Mexico State was not able to beat the Arizona State Sun Devils, they will have a tough time against Arkansas. While the Hogs and Sun Devils are two very different style teams, Arkansas might be the better of the two.

Road trips against SEC opponents are rarely friendly to Group of Five teams. Last year, the Aggies lost to the Kentucky Wildcats and Texas A&M, both on the road. History shows that New Mexico State does not have much of a chance in this one.

Yet, there is some talent on this offense. Quarterback Tyler Rogers tossed 12 touchdowns with only four picks this year. And, running back Larry Rose III is one of the best rushers in the Mountain West.

It could be an entertaining matchup early between two different style offense. However, Arkansas will start to pull away in the second half. We’ll see Rogers passing the ball a lot, working with his favorite targets in Jaleel Scott and Izaiah Lottie.
