1. Arkansas needs games like this to go bowling

The Hogs have been a consistently just above-average team under Bret Bielema. They have trademarked seven and eight win seasons over the past few seasons. Bielema has not let them really have a down year.

Taking advantage of inferior competition out of conference helps to build momentum for conference play and get a few wins to boost the record. The TCU game did not go as planned. But the Frogs are a very good team in 2017, as we saw in Week 4.

Arkansas needs to win big against New Mexico State and Coastal Carolina to take advantage of two of the three easiest games on tap. Florida A&M was an easy team to start the season with and they definitely took advantage of that.

Three more wins in conference play could be hard to find. The SEC West has a lot of good teams once again. They’ll need to pull off at least one upset against a team like LSU, Mississippi State, or Auburn to become bowl eligible.
