South Carolina Gamecocks @ Texas A&M Aggies

Sept. 30, 7:30pm ET, SEC Network

The Texas A&M Aggies look to stay perfect in SEC play when they host the South Carolina Gamecocks. Redshirt freshman quarterback Kellen Mond has stepped up for the A&M offense this season. They’ve won three straight games since blowing a big lead and falling to the UCLA Bruins, 45-44.

Mond has thrown for 649 passing yards and six touchdowns on two interceptions so far in 2017. They won their conference opener over the Arkansas Razorbacks last week, 50-43 in overtime. Mond has 216 passing yards, two passing touchdowns and 106 rushing yards in the game.

The South Carolina Gamecocks are dealing with life after wide receiver Deebo Samuel. Samuel is out 5-6 weeks after suffering a broken leg. The Gamecocks defeated the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs 17-13 last week after a 17-point fourth quarter. Kicker Parker White won the game on a 31-yard field goal with four seconds remaining.

Quarterback Jake Bentley has thrown for 1,001 passing yards and seven passing touchdowns but also has four interceptions on the year. He’ll need to limit his turnovers this week.

The Gamecocks are averaging 102.8 rushing yards per game so far which could be a cause for concern. It will be interesting to see if the Aggies can capitalize on that.
