By Zach Bigalke
The weekend began with an upset, and things just kept going from there. After Week 6 play, this is how we project the AP Top 25 will look on Sunday.
On the last weekend of September, things started to shake out a bit among the top teams in the FBS. The AP Top 25 will look a bit different when the next edition comes out on Sunday, thanks to some big results that transpired around the country.
The action among ranked teams started on Friday night, as No. 14 Miami crushed Duke and No. 16 Washington State upset No. 5 USC in Pullman. Things stayed crazy on Saturday, as several SEC teams played their way out of the AP Top 25. No. 24 Mississippi State fell on the road at No. 13 Auburn, while No. 25 LSU was taken down in a huge 24-21 upset by Sun Belt favorite Troy.
A slew of bye weeks likely saved some teams that might have been caught in the chaos. How will all the results around the country affect the order of this week’s AP Top 25? And who will move up to take the place of the teams tumbling out of the rankings? Keep reading to see our advance projections of how the AP Top 25 will look when it comes out tomorrow.
