True freshman Chase Young is making it obvious that he was a blue-chip recruit. He made a few plays on Saturday to let us know he’s ready for significant playing time already.

Young had a nice tackle in the backfield against Rutgers and got in on the action quite a bit.

Chatter among those who have seen Chase Young play says that he is a potential future No. 1 overall pick in the NFL draft. We got a taste of why this is true against Rutgers.

Even though he’s overshadowed on the depth chart by veterans this year, Chase Young is standing out. The only thing in his way is the experience of other players, which may give them the edge against stronger opponents. Otherwise, he’s ready to start making plays.

He earned himself a game ball  this week, which is something Buckeye fans will get used to hearing in the near future.
