Speaking of touchdowns, Johnnie Dixon had two of them against Rutgers, and was close to having three. The redshirt Junior doubled his season total of touchdowns in this game and had a career high 115 receiving yards.

Similar to Booker and Weber, injuries have been a concern for Dixon. As a former top recruit, this game is one to remember for Johnnie Dixon.

He has yet to really break out, and if he wants to prove to be a go-to guy in big games for the Buckeyes, now is the time to separate himself from the pack.

Dixon did a good job standing out last night. If he stays healthy, he’ll have the chance to accumulate many more helmet stickers before his time as a Buckeye is up.

The receiving corps for Ohio State has been inconsistent of late, and the timing of this type of performance was perfect for Dixon. Look for him to get more of an opportunity in the coming weeks.
