J.T. Barrett became Ohio State’s all-time leader in passing yards during the game against Rutgers. If that doesn’t earn someone a helmet sticker then I’m not sure what does.

Amidst criticism in the past few weeks, J.T. did a good job putting all of that aside and looking sharp against Rutgers. His accuracy looked better than usual and he made nice decisions on a couple of option plays.

He finished the day passing for 275 yards and three touchdowns, while completing 14-of-22 attempts. On the ground, Barrett added 89 yards.

These are exactly the type of numbers he should’ve had against Rutgers. Barrett needed this kind of game to back off the critics for at least another week.

Everything Barrett does is going to get a lot of attention, and this week he deserves credit. It’s not every day a quarterback becomes an all-time leader at a historically dominant football program.
