UCLA Football: 3 takeaways from home victory over Colorado

3. Josh Rosen can’t be stopped as he posts another huge game
Entering the game against Colorado, Josh Rosen was leading the nation in passing with over 440 passing yards per game. He didn’t quite reach that mark against the Buffaloes secondary, but he still put up another massive stat line to curb the UCLA losing streak.
Playing at home, Rosen completed 28 of his 45 passes against Colorado’s defense for 372 yards. The Bruins quarterback was not perfect, as he threw a costly interception that allowed the Buffaloes to pull within a point in the third quarter. Rosen also managed to toss only one touchdown pass, breaking a six-game streak with multiple scoring throws.
It didn’t matter, though. In the clutch, Rosen elevated his game to keep UCLA ahead until the final whistle. He led the Bruins on two long fourth-quarter drives, draining more than 10 minutes of the clock in the final frame. In the process, UCLA kept the ball out of Colorado’s hands and prevented the Buffaloes from retaking the lead. Rosen went 11-of-16 for 128 yards and eight first downs on the two drives as UCLA came away with six points.
It wasn’t a perfect performance, but at this point of the season it bears questioning whether anybody can keep Rosen from piling up big numbers.
