2. Saquon Barkley can do anything and everything

Saquon Barkley is the best player in the nation.

Even though Barkley failed to record a 100-yard rushing performance against the Indiana Hoosiers in Week 5, the third time he has failed to do so this season, he did just about everything else the Nittany Lions needed him to do in order to help the team win an conference game in front of their home crowd.

After Indiana won the coin toss and to elected to kick the ball off, Barkley, who has served as the team’s primary kick returner this season as a way to bolster his total yards per game and Heisman Trophy candidacy, returned Griffin Oakes’ kick 98 yards for a Nittany Lions touchdown.

This impressive run, which is sure to be peppered into all of Saquon Barkley’s future highlight reel for the remainder of his college career, got the stadium bouncing.

Literally, the upper level of the stadium shook with joy.

And this run was only an appetizer for what Barkley had cooked up for the remainder of the game.

Whether it was Barkley’s impressive one-handed catch in the first half, or his totally unexpected wildcat touchdown pass to senior receiver DaeSean Hamilton during the final minutes of the game, Barkley showed up in a major way, and helped the Nittany Lions breeze through their Week 5 opponent by a score of 45-14 with 205 total yards.

Barkley now has impressive runs, impressive catches, impressive kick returns and a not particularly impressive, but still effective, passing touchdown to bolster his incredible resume, and this trend should continue over the remainder of the team’s 2017 schedule.
