2. Kelly Bryant will become the leader of the Tigers

Just like Deshaun Watson did over the course of three years, Kelly Bryant has taken the Clemson offense and placed it squarely on his back.

Through the first five games, he has thrown for 1,059 yards and is completing 66 percent of his throws. Bryant is also the leading rusher on the team with 362 yards and has scored a Tiger-high seven touchdowns.

Does that make him better than Watson, possibly the great Clemson player to ever step on the field at Death Valley?

Of course not, it just makes him exactly what Dabo Swinney and his coaching staff want: Kelly Bryant.

Swinney isn’t asking Bryant to do it all by himself. He has surrounded him with several capable running backs, a game-breaker at wide receiver in Deon Cain, speedster Ray-Ray McCloud and a Wes Welker-clone in Hunter Renfrow. Add in a defense that is stopping each and every opponent and it is easy to see why Bryant has his team unbeaten once again.

Two of the next three games Clemson plays will come at home, where Bryant has already bested three opponents. Look for the youngster to continue to grow into a downfield-passer and maybe pull back on so many QB draws to keep his body healthy for the stretch run.
