Every week of college football produces its fair share of chaos. With that in mind, it’s time to make one bold prediction for every top 25 team in Week 6.

Last week’s column had one major, oops. Sometimes when you swing for the fences you strike out. That’s what happened when I called for an Ohio State upset at the hands of Rutgers. How’s 56-0 for dead wrong? About as bad of a miss at saying Sam Darnold would have his Heisman moment. To be fair, Darnold did have his chance, but came up short, giving Luke Falk and the Huskies their signature victory of the season.

It wasn’t all bad. Three touchdown passes for Brandon Wimbush was right on the money. One more quarterback found his way back into the limelight. Jake Browning bounced back from a one touchdown performance to go 26-for-34 for 293 yards with three touchdowns and one interception.

Two good calls, but the most satisfying one was the Georgia beat down against Tennessee. There were some people talking about the “rivalry” aspect of the game that would make it a close one. Instead, it was the Vols’ complete and utter disappointing turnout against Georgia that led to Butch Jones having the hottest seat in the nation.

So as always, some big hits and some big misses. Nevertheless, our quest to nail the biggest surprises of the week start now. Here’s one bold prediction for every top 25 team in action this week.

Bold prediction:  Knight’s pull off their fourth straight 20+ point victory. Many people saw Memphis upset UCLA as the infamous “body clock” rumblings reared their head. The nation might have missed with the Knights role that same Memphis team in Week 5, but we didn’t. UCF got a slow start thanks to Hurricane Irma, but they’re going to keep winning, and keep proving they’re for real.

Bold prediction: NC State holds Lamar Jackson to one touchdown and less than 250 yards of total offense. In case you weren’t aware, the Wolfpack defense is the real deal. They’re one late touchdown from still being undefeated and hovering somewhere around the nation’s top 10. A win over Louisville won’t get them to the top 10, but it will get them right to the edge.
