4. Washington will beat the spread in all three October games

Though Washington has been winning big so far this season, they haven’t always impressed by Vegas standards. Against the spread, the Huskies are just 3-2 in 2017 against a relatively easy schedule. The betting line, of course, doesn’t always reflect the essential quality of two teams but rather the amount of betting action on each side.

But teams expected to reach the College Football Playoff tend to succeed against the spread at a fairly solid rate. In the season opener at Rutgers, Washington gave 28 points in the spread and won by 16. They have also failed to cover the spread in their home win against Fresno State.

On the other hand, the Huskies beat the spread by 17 against FCS Montana, 16 points against Colorado, and Oregon State by eight on the road. Washington has taken down every opponent by double digits, making fans happy enough. In October, though, they will beat the spread in all three games to make bettors happy as well.

Facing some of the worst defenses in the Pac-12, the Huskies are going to put up eye-popping numbers on offense. Chris Petersen’s team will cover every time against the Golden Bears, Sun Devils, and Bruins.
