1. Will Grier outplays Kenny Hill

TCU’s senior quarterback Kenny Hill is one of the most improved in the country. Hill tossed nine touchdowns and only three interceptions through four games. Considering he’s had a lot of trouble managing turnovers in his career, that is a huge step forward.

However, West Virginia quarterback Will Grier is playing at another level. Grier has thrown for 1,374 yards and 13 touchdowns with three interceptions. He also showed the ability to scramble for touchdowns against Kansas with two touchdowns on the ground.

Hill played well in his last game against a sub par Oklahoma State secondary. Yet, this West Virginia secondary has a lot more experience than Oklahoma State. Led by senior defensive backs Kyzir White and Mike Daniels, the Mountaineers will be up for the challenge.

TCU’s defense did prove something against Oklahoma State and West Virginia can learn from that. Grier has to minimize mistakes and really take care of the football. That is something that Oklahoma State quarterback Mason Rudolph did not do against the Frogs.
