Peach Bowl

Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl: San Diego State (Group of Five) vs. TCU (at-large)
Where: Mercedes-Benz Stadium (Atlanta, Ga.)
When: Jan. 1, 2018, at noon ET on ESPN
Last week’s projection: San Diego State vs. TCU

Oh hey, another matchup that didn’t change this week. Good work TCU and San Diego State!

However, for one team it is only going to get tougher from here on out. After a week off, TCU hosts always dangerous West Virginia on Saturday and then will travel to Manhattan and face Kansas State the week after. Over the next two weeks, we will see if the win over Oklahoma State was a sign of things to come for the Horned Frogs or is TCU just a mere pretender sitting in the land of contenders.

San Diego State remains the team with the easiest path to a NY6 bowl as all they really need to do is win out and they will be headed to the Peach Bowl or Fiesta Bowl or whatever bowl will take them, just know they are headed to the NY6 if they can close it out. This week the Aztecs travel to Las Vegas to face off against the Runnin Rebels but the following week, San Diego State hosts a Boise State team that could upset the Aztecs.

Week 6 Impact: The biggest hurdle for both SDSU and TCU is avoiding the trap games, the Aztecs have one this week and TCU travels to Manhattan next week. If one of these teams were to lose, look for South Florida and or Oklahoma State to fill spot.
