1. Arkansas leaves 0-2 in the SEC

I fully expect Arkansas fans to very disappointed on Saturday. The Gamecocks are honestly a terrible matchup for the Razorbacks and not only that, but it’s at South Carolina giving the Gamecocks even more of an edge.

As I write this, ESPN’s Football Power Index gives South Carolina a 66.6 percent chance to come out on top. The spread, however, has Arkansas winning by 2 but here’s a fun fact, Arkansas is 0-3-1 against the spread. Meanwhile, South Carolina is 3-2 against the spread.

How badly do I think it will be for Arkansas? My final score prediction is 36 to 21 for the Gamecocks win. With the Gamecocks having lost a close one against Texas A&M this past week, I also see that they come out and get a win to bounce back, getting their season on track.

In the eyes of many Razorback fans and analysts, this game is an absolute “must-win” for Bret Bielema and I absolutely agree with this. This loss will not only disappoint fans but will increase the heat on his seat by a very significant amount.

So since I have Arkansas losing to the Gamecocks, I have a bonus prediction. During the post-game press conference with Bret Bielema, at least once during his time at the podium, we hear his go to “we’re so close” statement or at least there’s a comment about something being “uncharacteristic.”
