4. Arkansas turns tide after loss to the Tide

The Razorbacks are heading into their second game of the month after a much-needed win against the South Carolina Gamecocks. Spirits are up and absolutely everyone on that team feels the energy.

After the Hogs started 0-2 against Power 5 teams, they finally got that taste of blood and are 1-1 in the SEC. The week of practice starts and as the week wears on, the Razorbacks get closer and closer to heading on the road to face the other cool looking “A” of the SEC.

Arkansas hasn’t beaten A&M in a long time. That’s a fair statement. Also, a fair and true statement is Arkansas hasn’t beaten the Crimson Tide of Alabama in a decade. That’s two athletic directors, 3 head coaches, one interim head coach and 10 long years for Arkansas to finally break the curse.

As Arkansas rides the wave of success from the victory over the Gamecocks, they head to title town to show the world what they can do. So can you guess what my number “4.” prediction is? If you said losing to Bama you would be correct. Surely you didn’t think I would predict Arkansas to beat Alabama, right? I’m bold but not that bold.

However, as I am predicting Arkansas loses to Alabama in the second week, that’s not all of what I’m saying. In the words of Bret Bielema,”it’s nothing I enjoyed. It’s nothing I liked. It’s nothing I want to repeat again in my life. But it’s something that we had to do.”

Yes, Arkansas loses but the Tide isn’t the only tide in this picture. The other tide is the fight Arkansas takes with them. They may lose to the Crimson Tide but the tide of letting themselves stay down and be beaten again is over. This loss will hurt but will be necessary to make Arkansas fight through October that much harder.
