After entering the AP Top 25 last week for the first time since reaching the Fiesta Bowl in 2013, No. 25 UCF will move up a few spots in the poll after blowing out Cincinnati at Nippert Stadium on Saturday. The Knights continued to keep pace with rival South Florida in the American Athletic Conference race and stayed alive for another New Year’s Six bowl berth.

McKenzie Milton was electric in the game, throwing for 374 yards and five touchdowns on the road before a weather delay ended the game early. He was nearly perfect passing the ball, completing 16 of his 19 attempts before the unscheduled break. On the other side of the ball, UCF put pressure on Cincinnati quarterback Hayden Moore to generate the bulk of the offense for the Bearcats. Moore punished the Knights on the ground and in the air, but couldn’t pull off an upset at home.

Instead, UCF moved to 4-0 on the year and will look to keep winning in October. The Knights take on East Carolina at home next weekend before a big interdivisional battle against Navy in Annapolis on October 21. The month concludes with a home matchup against FCS Austin Peay that will provide the closest thing UCF gets to a bye through the rest of the regular season.
