Loser: Michigan Wolverines (No. 7 to No. 17)

The Michigan Wolverines struggled in Week 6 and the result was a 14-10 loss in the end. The Wolverines offense was exposed once again with quarterback John O’Korn at quarterback. O’Korn threw three interceptions in their first loss of the season.

Despite outgaining the Spartans on offense 300-252, turnovers told the story as Michigan finished with five turnovers and Michigan State finished with zero. The Wolverines defense held the Spartans to 13 first downs and 2-of-14 on third down conversions.

Michigan lost for the fourth time in five games against the Spartans on Saturday. Head coach Jim Harbaugh is currently 1-4 against the Ohio State Buckeyes and Michigan State. Against all other teams in the Big Ten, Harbaugh is 13-1.

The Wolverines are still 4-1 but the loss puts a damper on their ranking in the AP Poll. As the 17th-ranked team, it shows they still have some work to do to become a top team.

They didn’t have any sacks on defense while Michigan State had four sacks of their own.
