The Louisville Cardinals have fallen a bit in the ACC Atlantic after two early losses in conference play. They’re currently 1-2 in the ACC after losing 39-25 to the NC State Wolfpack. The Wolfpack gave Lamar Jackson all he could handle as he was held to just 73 rushing yards and sacked four times.

Jackson still finished with 354 passing yards, two rushing touchdowns and a passing touchdown but his pick-six was the turning point as it came with the Cardinals trailing 32-25 late in the fourth quarter.

It seems the Louisville offense still needs to find another gear to be a competitive force in the ACC. The Wolfpack had their number all night as they held them below 500 yards of offense for the first time all season.

Next for the Cardinals is Boston College.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are coming off a bye in Week 6. They are currently 2-0 in the ACC with a matchup pending against the 11th-ranked Miami Hurricanes. The Yellow Jackets have lost the last two meetings between the teams.

The NC State Wolfpack seemed to have found another gear since losing their season opener to the South Carolina Gamecocks. Since then, they’ve won five games in a row and are currently 3-0 in the ACC.

They’ve defeated Florida State and Louisville so far, now they just need to dethrone the Clemson Tigers. Defensive end Bradley Chubb has done everything in his power to keep opposing offenses at their limit. Chubb has 13.0 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks so far this season.

Quarterback Ryan Finley remains perfect throwing the ball as well with 10 passing touchdowns and zero interceptions. He has 1,770 passing yards on 70.9 passing completion in 2017.

The Wolfpack travel to Heinz Field looking to remain perfect in conference play against Pittsburgh this week. They’ve got a good chance at victory here as they continue to climb the ACC ranks.

The Virginia Tech Hokies stayed in the win column but their competition in the ACC Coastal increases with a game looming against the Miami Hurricanes in a few weeks.

The Hokies didn’t overlook the Golden Eagles in Week 6, defeating them 23-10. They got 322 passing yards and a passing touchdown from Josh Jackson although he threw his second interception of the season.

Running back Travon McMillian had a big game running the ball, finishing with 88 yards and a touchdown. Wide receiver Sean Savoy lead the passing attack with nine receptions for 139 receiving yards and a touchdown.

The Hokies have a bye week coming up before facing North Carolina on Oct. 21.
