4. Washington Huskies

The Washington Huskies moved up one spot in the AP Poll this week to the fifth spot, but the Georgia Bulldogs sit at fourth after the Oklahoma Sooners loss to Iowa State. The rankings might not show it, but the Huskies are the favorite to win the Pac-12 title.

The Huskies are 6-0 so far, 3-0 in Pac-12 play, after their 38-7 victory over the California Golden Bears. The offense looked good and the defense held strong to keep the team undefeated this season.

Quarterback Jake Browning threw for 215 passing yards and two passing touchdowns. Running back Myles Gaskin ran for 91 yards and two rushing touchdowns.

The defense finished the game with eight sacks, led by linebacker Tevis Bartlett who had two for the Huskies. They rank third in the FBS in scoring defense (10.2 points per game) this season, looking even better than last season. After racking up sacks, the California offense had a sum total of -40 rushing yards on the day.

The Huskies may not face much resistance on their schedule until the final three weeks. Consistency will only help their case, they just need to continue to win and win big.
