1. Alabama Crimson Tide

The No. 1 ranked Alabama Crimson Tide are still the top team in the College Football Playoff projections, but they looked relatively normal in Week 6, something head coach Nick Saban blamed in-part on his teams’ love for the media as if it was “rat poison”.

The Crimson Tide put away the Texas A&M Aggies 27-19 to remain unbeaten in the SEC. Their offense went 4-for-14 on third down conversions and earned just 16 first downs in the game.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts was 13-of-22 with 123 passing yards and a passing touchdown but most of the offensive production came on the ground. Running back Damien Harris led the way with 124 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown. Hurts finished with 56 rushing yards and a touchdown as well.

The Alabama defense forced three turnovers in the game to hold the edge in the game. Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick had one interception and a forced fumble along with five tackles to lead the way. Defensive end Isaiah Buggs led the team with 10 tackles.

The Alabama Crimson Tide continue to dominate conference play halfway through their schedule. They face the Arkansas Razorbacks, who are 2-3 on the season after losing three of their last four contests. The Crimson Tide should have a renewed focus in Week 7 which should show itself against Arkansas.
