Wisconsin safety D’Cota Dixon is one of those players that is involved in every play, and in Saturday’s contest against Nebraska- that served to be true yet again.

Dixon finished with a team high nine tackles and one pass deflection, but again his presence on the field was more than enough for the Badgers to continue performing at an elite level on defense.

An explosive and quick move on every play, Dixon is the definition of ball hawk- whether it’s through the air or on the ground. A hard-hitting lurker, Dixon has impeccable timing, as seen in one play against Nebraska where he stopped a Huskers’ third down conversion with a hit that knocked the ball loose from an opposing receiver.

With the addition of Nelson at the corner back position, Dixon has been able to play up towards the line more. A terrific tackler, on multiple occasions Dixon was able to shut down the Huskers’ running attack before it got started.

Dixon was also able to keep the Badgers defense calm and collected in the first half, a first half that saw over 300 yards of Nebraska offense and multiple trips in their own territory. Dixon finished the first half with seven of his nine tackle and was a huge part in limiting the Huskers’ scoring drives into little or nothing.
