Not even a prayer

at Oklahoma State – Oct. 14, at TCU – Nov. 24

The Bears have already fallen to Oklahoma, which leaves them with these two games against the remaining Big 12 title favorites, Oklahoma State and TCU. The common factor in these games is the offensive efficiency of both the Horned Frogs and the Cowboys.

Oklahoma State gets it done on the arm of their senior quarterback, Mason Rudolph. He’s the leading passer in school history and continues to pick defenses apart. The only defensive unit to slow him so far this season was the Frogs.

TCU might not have the star power at quarterback, but Texas A&M transfer Kenny Hill has kept the offense moving. Over the last several weeks, against the Frogs’ toughest competition yet, Hill has been dialed in. He hasn’t put up the numbers that Rudolph has, but he hasn’t lost either.

Baylor’s defense will be woefully undermanned against these two offenses, both of which are averaging north of 44 points per game. It’s not going to matter if Bears’ quarterback Zach Smith can get in a rhythm or not. A great day from him will be drowned out by Baylor’s thin secondary.
