3. Equanimeous St. Brown has hurt his draft stock

Coming into the season, Equanimeous St. Brown was considered one of the best wide receivers in college football. Heck, he was also considered a potential first-round draft pick, but through six games, that may have changed. Has he hurt his stock? Personally, I’d say no, but it’s more on the fact that the offense has been run-based.

If St. Brown’s stock was on the way down, it wouldn’t be his fault, more so the coaching staff for running the ball 268 times this year as opposed to just 170 pass attempts. That’s also due to the fact that Brandon Wimbush is known to tuck and run with the ball if nothing is open right away.

The junior receiver had a breakout sophomore campaign in which he caught 58 passes for 961 yards and nine touchdowns. He and DeShone Kizer had an incredible connection through the air and it resulted in big gains for both he and his top receiving target. Wimbush is not the same passer as Kizer.

However, there are still scouts who realize the type of offense he’s currently in and would be willing to spend a first-round draft pick on the 6-foot-5, 205-pound junior wide out. He will play in the NFL no matter what.
