4. Sam Ehlinger

It’s a good bet that the true freshman will be making his fourth start of the year on Saturday. The true freshman has not winced under the spotlight and his performance against Kansas State was his best of the season.

Ehlinger threw for 380 yards against the Wildcats. Ever since a shaky first half against USC on Sept. 16, Ehlinger has been better and better each time out. Look for him to attack a Sooners’ secondary that has been pedestrian at best.

Through two conference games, Oklahoma has surrendered 831 yards through the air — worst in the Big 12. Texas will put the ball up frequently. If the Sooners struggle to slow down Ehlinger and the Texas aerial assault, it could be another long day for Oklahoma fans in the Cotton Bowl.
