1. Dave Doeren’s job is safe

The NC State Wolfpack are in a good position with five games left in the season and four games left on the ACC schedule. It’s the Wolfpack’s first 4-0 start in ACC play since the 2002 season.

Head coach Dave Doeren has the team playing well and his job looks to be safe, for now, but he’ll need to see the team through in their final stretch of games.

This week, they face the 13th-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish and their strong rushing attack on the road. They should have their work cut out for them too as quarterback Brandon Wimbush and running back Josh Adams will give them all they can handle.

The Wolfpack defense will need to be ready too. Their secondary has played okay but they rank last in the ACC in passing yards allowed per game (287.0). Their run defense ranks first in the ACC allowing 91.3 rushing yards per game.

With three more road games and a huge game with the Clemson Tigers pending on Nov. 4, the NC State Wolfpack have a chance to finish strong in the ACC. They’ll just need to stay focused until the season ends.
