NFL Mock Draft 2018: Complete first round after Week 7
By Dana Becker
It feels when you have a national power that produces NFL player and NFL player, they tend to go right in order in the draft. Larry Fitzgerald is preparing to hang it up and if Bruce Arians wants to keep his offense clicking out west, landing a stud wide receiver is of vital importance.
Calvin Ridley might not enter the NFL with the same promise of fellow former Bama star Amari Cooper, but he has all the intangibles.
Ridley was actually brought in as the replacement for Cooper with the Crimson Tide. In 2015, he hauled in 89 passes for 1,045 yards with seven touchdowns, including huge games that helped lift Alabama to the national title. Last year, his numbers slipped as they broke in new quarterback Jalen Hurts, with Ridley finishing with 72 catches for 769 yards and seven scores.
At 6-foot-1 and 188 pounds with speed, Ridley is NFL-ready from an athletic standpoint. This year, he has 29 receptions, 390 yards and two touchdowns.
