Texas Football: 5 reasons Longhorns will lose to Oklahoma State in Week 8
4. Justice Hill adds versatility to Oklahoma State’s offense
Sophomore running back Justice Hill is a huge piece for the Oklahoma State offense. Like Mason Rudolph, he’s already putting up big numbers to follow-up on a 1,000-yard rushing performance during his freshman year.
Hill has already totaled more than 700 yards and six touchdowns. One of Hill’s biggest games last season came against Texas, where he rushed for 135 yards and one touchdown on 25 carries. However, this is a very good Texas front seven.
Led by linebacker Malik Jefferson, the Texas front seven is sure to be prepared for what Hill has to offer. The problem with preparing well for Hill is that it takes time away from getting ready for facing the Oklahoma State passing attack.
Texas did hold Oklahoma running back Trey Sermon under 100 rushing yards in Week 7. Yet, the Sooners did manage 4.5 yards per carry even with Texas’ best efforts to shut down the rushing attack.
