1. Tom Herman will get his first big win at Texas

Texas came into the season with a lot of hype and the main reason was the excitement of hiring head coach Tom Herman. The one-time Ohio State offensive coordinator put the Houston Cougars on the map in a big way in his time in Houston.

During his two seasons in Houston, he posted a record of 22-4, his teams knocked off Florida State and Oklahoma in the process. Many that followed the Big 12 expansion process believe because of the infatuation with Herman, they didn’t want to add Houston so they could get the rising coach.

Currently his Texas team is 3-3 overall and 2-1 in the Big 12, not bad, but not the early season splash Texas fans expected. They weren’t expected to lose to Maryland the first game of the season, they almost upset USC and Oklahoma, but so far during his tenure with Texas, he has had two chances to have a staple win and has come up short. I’m here to say on Saturday, Herman will get his first big win in Austin and it will come at the expense of No. 10 Oklahoma State.

This game will be a shootout and somehow they will make one more play to pull off the upset. I’m going it now, book it 42-38 Texas wins and the Herman resume grows.
