5. David Beaty

Congrats, David Beaty! For the last three seasons, you have tried your hardest to make it on the hot seat, and here we are. Yes, he is the head coach of the Kansas Jayhawks. No, the Jayhawks aren’t expected to win the Big 12. But how can any coach not find himself on the hot seat radar after totaling three wins in as many seasons.

I quite frankly don’t care who you are and what team you are coaching. If the head coach cannot prepare his young men for a football game to the point where they will simply give their best, then he needs to go. Kansas kicked off Week 7 against one of their most winnable opponents of the season, Iowa State. Iowa State beat Kansas 45-0.

Coming off a 2-10 season a year ago, and having a 3-27 career record at Kansas and a 1-20 record in the Big 12, Beaty and the Jayhawks find themselves 1-5 heading into Week 8. The worst part about the head coaching situation for me isn’t the wins and losses, but the lack oh heart and grit on the field from the players.

Well another week is approaching, and this game has potential to be one of the uglier ones yet. Kansas finds themselves up against No. 4 ranked TCU and unfortunately for Kansas and their fans, the game is going to be nationally televised. I am not implying in any way that Beaty and his Jayhawks need to win this week, but they need to show effort. I am not sure how many more shutouts and blowouts Kansas AD Sheahon Zenger can witness with Beaty heading the program.
