3. Jim Mora

Yet again making the list is Jim Mora. The Bruins came into the season bringing a lot of hype with them. UCLA had loads of talent around star QB Josh Rosen but the season has been nothing but a rollercoaster.

If you were to take a look at Mora’s records at UCLA, they don’t look all that bad. 10-3 in 2013 and 2014 — 8-4 in 2015 — but a dismal 4-8 record last season. Just by looking at those numbers you can see the program falling off in the past few season as the Bruins now sit at 3-3 in 2017. For such a prestigious program who has excelled in recruiting as of late, it doesn’t make sense.

Going back to just this season, it has been a wild ride for the Bruins players and their fans. The first half of their schedule was supposed to be the easy part. They escaped out of week one with a nail-biter of a win against the Aggies. Then went 2-3 in their next five games taking losses to three unranked teams, Memphis, Stanford and last week’s disaster of a loss to Arizona.

Now, Mora and the Bruins will face Oregon, Washington, Utah, and USC in their five games. To say that’s a tough road ahead is an understatement making this week’s home game against Oregon a must-win. If the Bruins can’t beat the Ducks, the season might lead to another missed bowl opportunity and possibly the end of Mora’s tenure at UCLA.
